Η 68η Τελετή Απονομής Βραβείων EMMY ολοκληρώθηκε την Κυριακή 18 Σεπτεμβρίου, στις 02:00 μετά τα μεσάνυχτα. Για δεύτερη συνεχόμενη χρονιά, το FOX Life την μετέδωσε ζωντανά και αποκλειστικά, απευθείας από το Microsoft Theater στο Los Angeles. Οικοδεσπότης της απονομής ήταν ο Jimmy Kimmel που έδωσε τον καλύτερο εαυτό του με αστείους μονολόγους και σκετς.
Κορυφαία δραματική σειρά βραβεύτηκε το Game of Thrones, ενώ το Mr. Robot που ήταν υποψήφιο σαν κορυφαία δραματική σειρά κέρδισε και αυτό βραβείο επειδή ο Rami Malek που υποδύεται τον Elliot Alderson/Mr. Robot βραβεύτηκε ως ο κορυφαίος πρωταγωνιστής σε δραματική σειρά.
